No Smoking

What would your first thought be when you see this sign?
No smoking at that area?
You are not allowed to smoke?
You should not be smoking?
You are not advised to smoke?
Everyone has a different perspective looking at this sign.

However, most people should know that no smoking is allowed in that certain area when they see the sign. But then, how would people respond especially smokers when they see the sign? Some of them would walk away and smoke elsewhere but some could not even be bothered about the sign. The no smoking signs can also be found hanging on some patients’ hospital beds. Some of them are really ill yet they are still stubborn wanting to smoke outside the hospital lobby. Smokers should not just ignore the sign. There must be a solid reason for the nurses to hang the no smoking sign on your hospital bed.  Most of the time is for the better for your health.

I wonder whether do smokers know the consequences of smoking. I guess they know but most of them don't care. The excuse people usually give is smoking helps to release stress. But the question is, does smoking really helps a person to release stress? It’s most likely a psychological factor that plays in a person’s mind. In my personal opinion I feel that there are many other ways for a person to release their stress level. Doesn’t necessarily have to be smoking.

Besides, you may live a healthier life without smoking. Also the people around you would live a healthy life. Think of your health and also the health of others. Some people may think it’s okay that you smoke because you’re far away from others but then after you smoke the smell of the cigarette is still around you.  People that can’t take the smell of smoke would have a hard time breathing and this may also affect others’ health. Therefore, to all smokers, be more considerate. Cherish your own health and also the health of others.
